Lexicon
Look up a Greek, Latin, or Hebrew word — short definition first, then the full entries, with alphabetical neighbors. Greek words use LSJ and Abbott-Smith; Latin words use Lewis & Short and Lewis Elementary; Hebrew words use Brown-Driver-Briggs. All five dictionaries are in the public domain. Suggestions appear as you type; pick one with the mouse or the arrow keys.
Type a Greek, Latin, or Hebrew word above.
Dictionary forms only in this first version; type the nominative singular for nouns and the first person singular for verbs. Accents are ignored for Greek, vocalization for Hebrew; Greek words must be typed in Greek script, Hebrew words in Hebrew script. The Hebrew section of this lexicon holds entries only (Brown-Driver-Briggs, 1906); Hebrew Bible text itself appears in the concordance and in the reader's Masoretic Text view. A small number of Hebrew-script cross-references inside Abbott-Smith entries were removed at extraction time. Each entry also links to its occurrences in the concordance (Torah and Prophets) and, for Greek and Latin, in site search across the library.
